Alya Gabsi

Alya Gabsi has a diverse work experience in the field of data analytics. Alya is currently working as a Game Data Analyst at East Side Games since September 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Innovation Youth as a Data Scientist for an Academic Consulting Project from June 2022 to August 2022. In this role, Alya developed a proof of concept to optimize inventory ordering for a local market, including modeling integrated product demand forecasting and creating an interactive web app for easy use of the tool.

Before that, Alya served as a Data Scientist Team Lead at Keurig Dr Pepper Canada from October 2021 to April 2022 for an Academic Consulting Project. Alya led a team of five people and provided strategic direction for marketing mix models to optimize budget allocation and boost marketing return on investment. Alya also created an integrated dashboard to gauge the impact of different budget allocations on marketing return on investment.

Alya also worked at Square Enix Montreal as a Data Analyst from May 2021 to August 2021. In this role, Alya was responsible for two projects. Firstly, they developed a multivariate regression model to optimize matchmaking in a MOBA game, providing valuable insights to the development team. Secondly, they developed Looker dashboards to track Google Cloud Platform expenses per game.

Alya's work experience also includes a role as a Financial Planning Analyst at Pharmascience from June 2020 to August 2020. Alya conducted competitor analysis and financial statement analysis to evaluate investment decisions. Alya also performed ROI analysis to evaluate the profitability of internalizing a maintenance process.

Alya Gabsi pursued their education in a chronological order. Alya obtained a High School Diploma with a focus on the Scientific stream from Lycée Français de Kuala Lumpur - LFKL in the years 2014 to 2017. Following this, in 2019, they attended Kyoto University, where they completed a Bachelor's degree in Economy. From 2017 to 2021, Alya studied at McGill University - Desautels Faculty of Management, earning a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Finance and a concentration in Business Analytics. Their educational journey continued at McGill University - Desautels Faculty of Management from 2021 to 2022, where they pursued a Master of Management in Analytics with a specialization in Data Science.
