Brett Last

Brett Last currently serves as the Associate Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Eastern Michigan University, providing leadership and implementing a cohesive human resources strategy since September 2020. Prior to this role, Brett held the position of Chief Human Resources Officer at Skidmore College, where significant achievements included building trust with leadership and employees to implement an HR Partner model. At Northampton Community College, Brett transformed talent management practices by redesigning core competencies and evaluation methods. As Executive Director of Human Resources at Olympus Corporation of the Americas, Brett strategically shifted HR operations to a business partner model. Earlier experience includes serving as an attorney specializing in labor and employment matters and managing retail locations at Six Flags. Brett holds a Doctor of Law degree from Rutgers Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The College of New Jersey.
