Tim Buttress has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and industries. Tim worked at Ecctis Ltd for a significant part of their career, starting as Deputy Director of Marketing and Communications in 2006 and later becoming Head of Stakeholder Management Group. In these roles, they were responsible for stakeholder management, training, conferences, and marketing activities. Tim also chaired UK ENIC's annual conference in 2023. Prior to that, Tim worked at UCAS as a Project Manager, overseeing the transition from a paper-based application system to an online process. Tim also held the position of Marketing Manager at UCAS Enterprises Ltd, where they developed services to connect organizations with potential undergraduates and managed UCAS's student magazine. Earlier in their career, Tim worked as a Sales and Marketing Manager at Fastener World and as a Special Accounts Manager at Paper House Group. Additionally, they have experience as a Player/Coach at Hallam Cricket Club.
Tim Buttress has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from The University of Sheffield, which they obtained from 1988 to 1991. Tim then pursued a Master's degree in Organisation Development and Management of Change at Sheffield Hallam University from 1991 to 1993. In 2001 to 2003, they earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from the University of Gloucestershire. Prior to their university education, Tim attended North Cestrian Grammar School from 1981 to 1988. Additionally, Tim has acquired certifications in various fields, including an Introduction to CSR Environmental and Social Responsibility from Buckinghamshire New University in October 2023, a CMI Level 7 - Coaching and Mentoring Programme from IN Professional Development (INPD) in 2022, and a PRINCE2 Project Manager, Practitioner Level certification in 2004.
