Shane Lewis Cism

Shane Lewis CISM, CRISC has a strong background in information security and management. Shane is currently serving as the Group Head of Information Security at Eckoh, where they are responsible for ensuring secure and certified environments and merging security controls from multiple acquired businesses. Prior to joining Eckoh, Shane worked as an Information Security Consultant and Security Architect at Vanquis Bank, providing expertise in information security architecture and consultancy for digital change and transformation projects. Shane also had their own business as a vCISO, helping organizations simplify their cybersecurity challenges and promoting incident prevention. Shane's previous experience includes roles at Semafone, where they served as the Head of Information Security, ensuring the protection of data processing environments and infrastructure, and at WSB Technologies Limited, where they worked as a Director, delivering IT and IS solutions to SME businesses. Shane also held positions at NCI Resources Ltd as an Information Security Manager and Consultant, and at Fat Face Limited as an IT Project Manager. Earlier in their career, they worked at Wasp Switching Products Ltd as a Production Manager. Overall, Shane has a diverse range of experience in information security, management, and IT consultancy.

Shane Lewis CISM, CRISC has a diverse education history focused on information security and risk management. In 2017, they attended Firebrand for a Certified Data Protection Officer (CDPO) course. The previous year, in 2016, they also took a risk management course at Firebrand, earning a CRISC certification. Additionally, in 2016, they studied at ISACA for a Cobit 5 Foundation degree in Information Technology.

Shane'seducation in the field of cyber security started in 2015 at The Open University, where they completed a course in Introduction to Cyber Security. That same year, they pursued a CompTIA Security + certification through home study. Shane also engaged in e-learning with IT Governance and obtained the PCI IM certification. In 2014, they attended IT Governance for a Certified Information Security Management (CISM) course.

In terms of additional certifications, Shane obtained the Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) certification from ISACA in February 2017. Shane also holds an ISO27001 Certified ISMS Upgrade (CIS 2013 UP) certification from IBITGQ in October 2015, and a PCI DSS Implementation and Maintenance (PCI IM) certification from IBITGQ, also in October 2015. Furthermore, they earned the Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification from ISACA in August 2015. In June 2015, they acquired the Security+ ce certification from CompTIA. Lastly, in July 2011, they received the Certified ISO 27001 Lead Implementer certification from IBITGQ.
