Julian Peña

Julian Peña has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in product management, business development, and consulting. Julian is currently the Head of Product at ecolytiq, where they lead the product management team. Prior to this, Julian served as the Head of Product at OptioPay Group, overseeing product management, UX research, and graphic design teams. Julian was responsible for launching a new product, implementing SCRUM, negotiating cooperations, and streamlining product discovery.

Before OptioPay Group, Julian worked as a Senior Product Owner at XOM Materials, where they managed the Marketplace and SaaS white label eShop solutions. Julian led the product roadmap, directed a team of developers, and made data-driven product decisions.

Julian also has experience as a Senior Product Manager at Spryker, where they guided partner integrations and launched numerous product releases. Julian implemented standardized processes, advised customers, and improved e-commerce data import documentation.

Earlier in their career, Julian held roles such as Product Manager at Billpay GmbH, where they managed FinTech solutions and focused on new market opportunities. Julian also worked in business development and sales at flexperto GmbH and as a Consultant at 180 Degrees Consulting. Julian began their career as a Product Manager at Telefónica UK O2, where they managed ICT products for the B2B market.

In addition to their professional experience, Julian won 1st place at the Peak Time International Business Competition, showcasing their skills in business simulations and case studies. Julian also worked as a Student Marketer at Graduate Promotions during their studies.

Julian Peña started their education at Zürich Schule from 2001 to 2003. After that, they attended the German School Madrid in Madrid, Spain, where they obtained their German Abitur from 2003 to 2011. In 2011, Julian pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in International Business from The Berlin School of Economics and Law and Anglia Ruskin University, which they completed in 2015. In May 2011, they also obtained the internet-based TOEFL certification with 109 credits. Julian furthered their education by enrolling at FOM University of Applied Sciences for Economics and Management in 2018, where they are currently pursuing a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Business Consulting & Digital Management.
