Nitin Sampat

Nitin Sampat is a seasoned professional in imaging technologies with extensive experience across various roles. Currently serving as a Sr. Vision Solutions Engineer at Edmund Optics since May 2018, Nitin leverages the company's resources to address optics and imaging challenges faced by Silicon Valley firms. Nitin has also been the Conference Chair for the Imaging Sensors & Systems at the IS&T Electronic Imaging Symposium since January 2000, where leadership involves organizing a major international gathering on electronic imaging. Previously, Nitin held the position of Associate Professor at the Rochester Institute of Technology for 25 years, focusing on research and education in imaging technologies while securing funding for collaborative student projects. Other notable experiences include roles in business development at ColorYoke Inc., contributions to imaging standards with the SWGIT/FBI, and technical leadership at Hewlett Packard and Questra Corporation. Nitin began a career in imaging research at the Lab for Laser Energetics at the University of Rochester.
