Adam Trexler, PhD has had a diverse range of work experiences in the field of data science. Adam is currently working at Elder Research, Inc. as a Principal Data Scientist and Director. In their previous roles at the same company, they served as an Analytics Engagement Manager and Data Scientist.
Prior to this, Adam worked at Northrop Grumman as a Senior Data Scientist and Data Scientist, where they developed machine-learning-based solutions and decision support systems for customers in the defense sector, with a focus on fraud and anomaly detection algorithms implemented in Python.
Adam also has experience in academia, having worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at both the National Institutes of Health and Yale University. During their time at the National Institutes of Health, they studied insulin secretion and diabetes using high-resolution microscopy and quantitative image analysis. At Yale University, they conducted dissertation work on Parkinson's disease pathway using single-molecule fluorescence spectroscopy. Adam also served as a Graduate Teaching Fellow, where they led discussions and taught critical reading of scientific literature.
Adam Trexler, PhD, obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry from McDaniel College in the years 2003-2007. Subsequently, they pursued their higher education at Yale University, where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry from 2007 to 2013.
