Thomas A. Conway, CPA has over 30 years of experience in financial management and accounting. Thomas A. began their career at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as a Senior Associate, where they conducted audit engagements and evaluated internal accounting and control procedures. Conway then transitioned to PIMCO Advisors L.P. as an Assistant Vice President and Assistant Controller, where they prepared consolidated financial statements and regulatory filings.
Afterwards, Conway joined Legg Mason (formerly Citigroup Asset Management) / Citigroup as a Business Unit Controller and Director, managing financial planning, analysis, and management reporting for global expenses. Thomas A. then moved on to GE Asset Management, where they served as Vice President and Controller, overseeing global financial operations and reporting for a $120 billion asset management business.
Currently, Conway is working at EmblemHealth as the Vice President, Controller and Chief Risk Officer. In this role, they manage accounting operations, tax, and reporting for an $8 billion healthcare provider. Thomas A. also leads the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) efforts, including the annual Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) and ERM Reports. Conway additionally serves as the business program sponsor for the outsourced Internal Audit function.
Thomas A. Conway, CPA holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Binghamton University. Thomas A. is also a Certified Public Accountant, certified by the New York State, and holds the Series 99, Operations Professional certification from FINRA.
