Josh Gilbert has worked in the engineering field since 2010. Josh began their career at IHS GlobalSpec as a Web Content Technologist, where they were responsible for quickly and accurately transposing technical product specifications into a search engine database and creating supplier-branding information. In 2011, they joined IBM as an Equipment Engineer - 300mm CMP, where they managed tool process conversions and matching, including hardware configuration upgrades, modifications, and bulk chemical operations. Josh was later promoted to Lead Equipment Engineer - 300mm PLT, where they managed all capital tooling installs and upgrades, continuous improvement programs, defect reduction excursions, and advanced troubleshooting. In 2014, they joined Tesla as a Manufacturing Equipment Engineer and served as a technical project manager for a fleet of custom automation tools producing Model S/X battery module internal cooling systems. Josh was responsible for all aspects of capital equipment lifecycle and processes, including external vendor coordination, tool install and validation, and documenting sustainable maintenance practices. In 2018, they joined JUUL Labs as a Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer, where they developed and qualified custom tools and fixtures for internal testing of new potential consumer products. Josh was also responsible for validation of future product concepts from prototype to commercial readiness. In 2020, they joined TDK as an Equipment Engineer, where they were responsible for procuring and installing automated production and test equipment in support of manufacturing scale-up activities. Currently, they are employed at EnerVenue as a Senior Manufacturing Equipment Engineer and a Manufacturing Equipment Engineer.

Josh Gilbert has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Josh has also obtained several certifications from LinkedIn, including Lean Foundations and Lean Six Sigma Foundations in September 2020, Process Improvement Foundations in September 2020, Project Management: Solving Common Project Problems in September 2020, Project Management: Technical Projects in September 2020, Six Sigma Foundations in July 2020, and Introduction to Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing in October 2019.
