Karthik Putta has held several roles in the field of herbicide discovery and molecular biology. Karthik began their career in 2010 as a Research Intern at The James Hutton Institute. In 2012, they moved to Syngenta as a Greenhouse experimentalist/Molecular Biologist. From 2015 to 2018, they worked at Kansas State University as an Assistant Scientist and Graduate Research Assistant. In 2018, they joined Enko as a Scientist and Senior Scientist in Herbicide Discovery. Karthik also held a Senior Biologist role at Monsanto Company in 2018.
Karthik Putta obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from the Vellore Institute of Technology between 2006 and 2010. Karthik then pursued a Master of Research (Mres) in Crops for the Future (Plant Biotechnology) at the University of Dundee from 2010 to 2011. Finally, they earned a Master's degree in Agronomy from Kansas State University between 2015 and 2017.
