Thanasis Vogiannou

Thanasis Vogiannou is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in game development and computer vision. Currently serving as an Engineering Lead at Epic Games since October 2022, Thanasis has previously held positions including Lead Engine Programmer at Epic Games in the MetaHuman project, Senior Research Engineer at Huawei Technologies Research & Development (UK) Ltd, and Lead Software Engineer at Facesoft, focusing on gaming and VR. Thanasis contributed to the Frostbite engine as a Software Engineer at Electronic Arts, working on notable titles such as Star Wars Battlefront and FIFA. Earlier career experiences include software engineering roles at Havok, exDream, and a research assistant position at the Informatics & Telematics Institute, where Thanasis specialized in algorithms and virtual technologies.
