Thorsten Tiede

Thorsten Tiede has worked in a variety of roles since 2008. From 2008 to 2011, they were an Entrepreneur at Kissendirekt.de. From 2011 to 2015, they were a Consultant at SumIT AG, where they were a project leader of a multi-client Data Warehouse project. From 2015 to 2022, they were a Research and Teaching Associate at Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen, where they designed, developed, and provided large-scale bioinformatics analysis pipelines and tools for projects in personalized medicine. Thorsten also developed a containerized analysis platform for thesis generation in personalized oncology. Currently, they are a Scientific Data Engineer at Epoch Biodesign.

Thorsten Tiede obtained their Diplom Informatiker (Bioinformatik) from the University of Tübingen in the field of Bioinformatics between 2001 and 2011. Thorsten also holds a certification in the same field from the same institution. Thorsten is currently pursuing a Doctor of Science in Applied Bioinformatics at the University of Tübingen, which they expect to complete in 2022.
