James Johnson has worked in a variety of roles since 2000. James began their career at Roche as an Industrial Studentship in 2000. In 2006, they moved to the University of Liverpool as a Postdoctoral Research Associate, where they analyzed synaptic exocytotic proteins and was involved in neurodegeneration in the model organism C. elegans. In 2013, they moved to The University of Manchester as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate. In 2016, they returned to the University of Liverpool as a Data Production Manager at the CGR. In 2021, they began working at Epoch Biodesign as the Director of Enzyme Engineering and Senior Scientist.
James Johnson completed a Doctor in Philosophy (PhD) in Molecular Cell Biology from the University of Liverpool between 2002 and 2005. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Applied Biochemistry from the University of Liverpool between 1998 and 2002.
