As an accountant by trade I entered the education sector over 20 years ago, with a passion to make a difference. I have worked in many sectors, including Further Education, Private Education, Nurseries and Academy Trusts. Working in Academies has allowed me to use my creative business flare to maximise income to benefit children and young people. I have a commitment to make effective use of public money and create efficiencies to increase funding available to invest in Teaching and Learning and use my experience to ensure the infrastructure is fit for purpose and an excellent environment to study and work. Further, I see my role is to relieve Senior Leaders and Governors in schools of the burden of business compliance to release their time to concentrate on the children and education. Being part of Equa enthuses me and its Vision and Values aligns with my core beliefs, that every child, regardless of background, regardless of skills and interests, should be given every chance to succeed and to work with a team that strives to achieve these values is inspiring.
