Liliya Khasin

Co-Founder, Senior Scientist at Equator Therapeutics

Liliya draws from a strong background in molecular biology, pharmacy, and electrophysiology to identify compounds that stimulate mitochondrial metabolism. Her work has focused on applying electrophysiological methods to study mitochondrial ion channels. Liliya has also done work on fertility, and for this was one of the five recipients of the prestigious Male Contraceptive Initiative grant. Before her studies at UC Berkeley, Liliya was a practicing pharmacist. She recently completed her Ph.D. in Molecular and Cell Biology at UC Berkeley.
