Christopher Wetherill

Christopher Wetherill has extensive work experience in the field of data engineering, data science, and machine learning. Christopher is currently serving as the Director of Data Engineering at Equity Trust Company since January 2024. Prior to this, they worked as a Data Science Manager at Medical Mutual from May 2022 to December 2023. Before that, they served as a Staff Software Engineer at Paperspace from August 2021 to May 2022. Christopher also worked as a Lead Machine Learning Engineer at Progressive Insurance from December 2020 to August 2021, and as a Lead Data Scientist at State Auto Insurance from December 2017 to December 2020. Earlier in their career, they held roles at SafeAuto as an R&D Data Scientist from June 2017 to December 2017, and as a Data and Decision Scientist from October 2015 to June 2017. Christopher started their professional journey as a Graduate Research Assistant at Virginia Tech from August 2014 to August 2015.

Christopher Wetherill attended John Carroll University from 2010 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience. Christopher then enrolled at Virginia Tech in 2014 to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Computational Biology, which remains incomplete as of 2015.
