Josh Heppner

VP of Research and Development at Erthos

Josh Heppner has a wealth of work experience in the fields of robotics, product development, engineering, and research. Josh began their career in 1998 as a Research Intern at NASA Ames Research Center. From 1999 to 2004, they worked as a Research Intern at Hewlett-Packard Laboratories, a Graduate Researcher at Berkeley Sensor & Actuator Center (BSAC), and an Intern at Harris Corporation. In 2007, Josh was a Mechanical Engineer III at Lam Research. From 2008 to 2020, they held roles as a Lecturer at Santa Clara University, a Senior Packaging Engineer in Assembly Technology Research Laboratory and ATTD Mechanical Core Competency at Intel Corporation, and finally a Director of Robotics/Product Development at Erthos, Inc.

Josh Heppner completed their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics from Santa Clara University in 2000. Josh then attended the University of California, Berkeley, where they earned a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2004 and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mechanical Engineering-MEMS/Design in 2007.
