Kamrooz R. Malayeri

Kamrooz R. Malayeri has a diverse range of work experience in the steel industry. Kamrooz started their career in 2001 as an apprentice and BSc thesis worker at Peyman Foundry Ltd. Kamrooz then co-founded and served as the production manager at Fuseiran Industrial Casting Ltd. In 2003, they worked as a consultant in the field of ferrous metallurgy and materials science at JK Research Co. From 2005 to 2007, they served as the Technical Sales Director at voestalpine Böhler Welding. Kamrooz then worked as a project work engineer at Atlas Copco in 2008. In 2009, they became a research and development engineer at Ovako Steel AB. From 2011 to 2014, they worked as a steel technology specialist at SKF. In 2014, they joined Scana Steel AB and served as the VP Sales & Technology for Scana Steel USA. Kamrooz later became the CTO/Technical Director at Scana Steel AB from 2014 to 2016. From 2017 to 2019, they served as the President of Scana Steel USA Inc. Currently, they are the Director Global Automation Sales Support at ESAB and also holds the position of Director Global Innovation & Product Management.

Kamrooz R. Malayeri has a Bachelor of Science in Materials Engineering (BSc) from Azad University of Saveh, which they obtained from 1999 to 2003. Kamrooz then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Metallurgical Engineering from Luleå University of Technology from 2007 to 2009. Kamrooz later completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Materials Science and Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology between 2009 and 2012. In 2011 to 2013, they took MBA courses in Leadership, Business Management, and Corporate Finance from SKF College and Coursera. Lastly, Kamrooz earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Blekinge Institute of Technology from 2016 to 2018.
