Roland Hall has worked in the technology field since 1992. Roland began their career as a Systems Analyst at Watkins Johnson, where they were responsible for system administration for six Solaris systems, a 23 seat SGI-Euclid 3D modeling system, SpanFM facilities application, a BSD based firewall and internet services, and Oracle DBA for the Clarify application. Roland then moved to Silicon Valley Group in 1998, where they were the primary DBA for the company and responsible for all Oracle databases and system administration for all corresponding servers. In 2000, they took on the role of Operations Manager at LightSurf, working closely with development to scale their ASP products from small pilot deployments to highly scalable, fault tolerant systems. In 2005, they joined Verisign as a Systems Architect, where they worked with ASP products and high volume messaging applications. In 2010, they began working at Syniverse, where they held the roles of Technical Director Platform Engineering and Data Center Operations, Technical Director Platform Engineering, Sr Manager Platform Engineering, and Sr Manager Architecture. In their role as Sr Manager Architecture, they were responsible for a North American data center migration project. In 2018, they co-founded Esaiyo Inc.
Roland Hall attended San Jose State University from 1992 to 1995, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Information management.
