Chiara Cocchiara

System Operations Engineer at EUMETSAT

Chiara Cocchiara has a diverse work experience in various industries. CHIARA started their career as a Trainee at Rolls-Royce in 2007 and later worked as a Trainee at the European Space Agency from 2011 to 2012. In 2012, they joined Serco as a Mission Performance Analyst and then transitioned to the role of System Operations Engineer from 2015 to 2016. CHIARA served as the SpaceOps SYP Manager at the Space Generation Advisory Council in 2015. In 2016, Chiara joined EUMETSAT as a Junior System Operations Engineer and later progressed to the role of System Operations Engineer where they focused on Operations Preparation for future Satellite Missions related to Earth Observation. CHIARA also worked as an Expert for Space Matters at Walgreens Boots Alliance for a period of six months in 2017. Additionally, Chiara had a brief role as a Peugeot Testimonial in 2018. CHIARA also had an interesting experience as a Crew Engineer and Commander of a Mars analogue mission at The Mars Society in 2015, where they conducted technological and psychological experiments simulating life on Mars.

Chiara Cocchiara has a diverse education history. CHIARA attended the SEAC - Space Economy Academy for an unspecified period of time, where they pursued a degree in the Space Economy Program. CHIARA'scoursework included subjects such as Space Economy, Space Entrepreneurship, Space Law, A.I., Finance, and Business Project. From 2016 to 2017, Chiara enrolled in the Rome Business School and earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration. Prior to that, they studied at Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna from 2013 to 2014, obtaining a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering. In 2010 to 2012, Chiara pursued a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical/Space Engineering from Space Master. Lastly, from 2006 to 2010, they attended Università di Pisa and earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering.
