The Opportunity:

The Security Operations Specialist is responsible for monitoring Euna Solutions data, systems and networks for cyber threats; tracking, analyzing and validating alerts and other anomalies; remediating threats; and responding to security incidents. The role will require hands on expertise in security monitoring, threat analysis, and incident response as well as working with IT, Research and Development, and DevOps to improve the security of the corporate infrastructure and Euna Solutions cloud-based products and services. 

What you will do:  

  • Deploy and enhance our security monitoring and response capabilities
  • Monitor for security events, threats, and anomalies across Corporate IT systems and Euna Solutions SaaS-based products
  • Lead incident & investigation activities
  • Review current systems and proposed solutions for security deficiencies.
  • Discover and track vulnerabilities across the organization, helping teams to prioritize remediation efforts.
  • Perform security reviews on infrastructure and application controls, working with stakeholders on remediation activities.
  • Contribute to security metrics for executive reporting
  • Keep up to date on security and technology
  • Bring emerging risks to management attention
  • Identify opportunities for improving existing security processes.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Security Operations: Monitor for security events and attacks against our systems, software, products and employees. Monitor and administer our security controls. Assess and enhance the security of our IT, Cloud and SaaS environments.

  • Vulnerability Management: Perform regular vulnerability reviews to identify gaps in our systems, applications and products.  Combine the output of multiple tools (SSPM, CSPM, Endpoint security, SAST, DAST, SCA, etc.), track vulnerabilities and work with internal teams to prioritize and remediate issues in a timely manner.

  • Security Monitoring: Recommend, implement and administer our security tools and identify gaps in our capability that will allow us to respond to emerging threats. Select and deploy a security monitoring solution company wide, normalize and enrich logs, and analyze logs/alerts to identify potential issues.

  • Security Incident Investigation & Response: Be the security lead on incident investigations, ensuring we can detect, respond and recover in a timely manner.  Respond to security events, bringing in additional teams and escalating as necessary. Requires occasional after-hours and weekend support for critical alerts.

Qualifications:  

  • 5+ Years of relevant experience in at least 3 security domains

  • Extensive experience with security monitoring and response including SIEM/MSSP deployment, integration, tuning, and use; data correlation and enrichment; security log feed ingestion; analyzing logs/alerts/events/attacks; threat remediation; etc.

  • Well-developed technical skills; a strong familiarity with system, application, and cloud security; an understanding of the technical security landscape.

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Good understanding of security standards (NIST, CIS, OWASP, CSA, etc.)

  • Excellent knowledge of IT systems and security infrastructure (firewalls, anti-malware, logging, authentication, SIEM, MSSP, VPN, web, MDM, etc.)

  • Experience in implementing and administering security systems and controls

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively with limited direction at times.

  • Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities

  • CISSP, SSCP, OSCP, Incident Handler, and other security certifications & training an asset

  • Desired - Experience monitoring cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • Desired - Experience monitoring SaaS applications (O365, Salesforce, password managers, etc.)

Working conditions (if applicable):

This position will be remote and requires occasional after-hours and weekend support for critical alerts.
