Xanthi Andrianou, PhD, currently serves as a Scientific Officer for Epidemic Intelligence at the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) since June 2021. Prior to this role, Andrianou worked as an Epidemiologist/Researcher in Infectious Diseases Epidemiology at Istituto Superiore di Sanità from October 2019 to May 2021, and simultaneously held a position as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Epidemiology and Exposome Research at Cyprus University of Technology. Andrianou's experience includes participation in the ECDC Intervention Epidemiology Training (EPIET) as a fellow from September 2017 to September 2019, alongside earlier roles as a Research Assistant and intern in various public health settings, including ECDC and the National Public Health Organization in Greece. Andrianou holds a PhD from Cyprus University of Technology, a Master of Science in Global Health from Maastricht University, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon.
