Miriam Rutzen

Miriam Rutzen has a diverse work experience, starting in 2013 as an IEP Specialist and Coach at West Central School District #235. Miriam then worked as the Director of Basketball Operations at the University of Colorado Boulder from 2014 to 2016. Afterward, they became a self-employed traveler, embarking on a year-long adventure to learn about primary education and leadership development globally, while also taking up side gigs such as substitute teaching and running basketball lessons and camps. In 2017, they worked as a Women's Basketball Graduate Assistant at Liberty University. From 2018 to 2021, they served as a Recruiting Specialist at the University Athletic Association Inc. Following that, they took on the role of Full-time Adventurer as a self-employed individual from 2021 to 2022. Currently, they hold the positions of Human Resources Programs & Analytics Manager and Director of HRBP & HR Programs at Exactech since 2022.

Miriam Rutzen holds a Master's degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Liberty University, which they obtained from 2017 to 2020. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology from Harvard University, graduating between 2009 and 2013. In addition to their formal education, Miriam has also obtained a Nonprofit Leadership Certificate from the University of Florida Online. Furthermore, they hold certification as a Substitute Teacher from the Illinois State Board of Education, which they obtained in 2013.
