Jose Zamora

Jose Zamora has a diverse work experience in communication, media, and journalism. Jose is currently the Chief Communications and Impact Officer at Exile Content Studio, a position they have held since April 2022. Prior to this, they worked at TelevisaUnivision for ten years, where they served as the Senior Vice President of Strategic Communications for Univision Noticias. Jose was with TelevisaUnivision from June 2012 to April 2022.

Before their time at TelevisaUnivision, Zamora worked at Knight Foundation from 2007 to 2012. During their tenure there, they had multiple roles, including being a part of the Journalism and Media Innovation Program and serving as a Communications Assistant.

Zamora's earlier experience includes working at elPeriódico de Guatemala. From 2006 to 2010, they worked as a Columnist and Project Manager. Prior to that, from 2001 to 2003, they held various roles at the same company, including being a Legal Advisor, Civic Campaign Coordinator, and a Member of the editorial board.

Jose Zamora has a diverse education history. Jose obtained a law degree in Law and Social Sciences from Universidad Francisco Marroquín in 2003. In 2004, they pursued a Master of Public Administration and Policy (MPA) from The University of Texas at Austin. Jose also obtained a Texas State Certified Mediator certification in Mediation and Arbitration from the same university in 2005. Additionally, they attended the Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 2017 for the Strategic Marketing Executive Program. In 2019, they became a JSK Fellow at Stanford University, where they focused on Journalism and Media Innovation. Most recently, in 2022, they enrolled at Harvard University for the Shorenstein News Leaders program.
