Vitor Alves

Vitor Alves has a diverse work experience in the hotel and cruise industry. Vitor is currently working as a Senior Lead for Hotel Operations at Explora Journeys since May 2022. Prior to that, from November 2020 to May 2022, they served as the Director of Hotel Operations for Scenic Discovery Yachts & Emerald Yachts Voyages at Scenic Group.

Vitor's earlier experience includes working at Seabourn, where they held various roles. From January 2019 to May 2020, they were the Ex. Deputy Director of Hotel & New Build Expeditions Operations. In this role, they were responsible for defining and developing revenue KPIs, SOPs, and protocols. Vitor also led budget planning and analyzed monthly revenue reports. Before that, from May 2014 to January 2019, they worked as a Manager of New-build Project, overseeing training operations and ensuring the functionality of new ships.

Vitor's long tenure at Seabourn began in May 2003 as a Hotel Director, where they managed the hotel operations, including spa, concessions, and casino. Vitor focused on improving company culture and providing quality services to guests.

Vitor Alves studied at Cornell University in 2012, where they pursued a degree in strategic management with a focus on Strategic Hospitality Management. Prior to that, in 2000, they attended Tourism Schools Salzburg – Kleßheim in Salzburg, where they majored in Hotel Management.
