Mechanical Engineering Associate at Exponent

David Gundana has a diverse work experience in mechanical engineering and research. David is currently working as a Mechanical Engineering Associate at Exponent since July 2023. Prior to that, they were a PhD Candidate at Cornell University from August 2018 to August 2023. In 2018, they also worked as a Summer Intern at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. David gained research experience as a Research Assistant at the Clemson University EMC2 Laboratory from May 2017 to May 2018, where they focused on lane change development and implementation in car following models and researched the use of connected, automated vehicle technology to boost energy efficiency. From May 2016 to August 2017, they were a Mechanical Engineering Intern at the Clemson Energy Innovation Center, where they worked on projects related to wind turbine drive train testing facility. David also served as a Calculus Teaching Assistant at MIT from May 2015 to July 2017.

David Gundana has an extensive education history in the field of Mechanical Engineering. David began their educational journey at JL Mann High School, where they completed their High School degree from 2010 to 2014. Following this, they attended Clemson University from 2014 to 2018 and earned their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. David then went on to pursue higher education at Cornell University, where they obtained a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2018 to 2021. David continued their studies at Cornell and is currently enrolled as a PhD student in Mechanical Engineering, undertaking their Doctor of Philosophy degree, which they are expected to complete in 2023.
