Executive Director - Procurement Efficiency at Expro

Ahmed Al-Harbi's work experience includes various roles in different organizations.

Ahmed started their career as a Cooperative Education Student at SABIC in 2013.

Later, they joined Procter & Gamble in 2014, where they served as a Shampoo & Conditioner Units Production Manager and later as a Manufacturing Operations Department Manager. In these roles, they were responsible for managing teams, ensuring department-wide reliability and predictability, and exceeding labor efficiency standards.

In 2018, Ahmed joined the Government Expenditure & Projects Efficiency Authority (EXPRO) as a Senior Consultant. Ahmed played a significant role in building the city cleaning category and managing RFPs and contract reviews. Ahmed also collaborated on startup initiatives for the Strategic Procurement Unit.

Ahmed then progressed to become the Spending Category Manager at EXPRO, where they continued to drive efficiency in government spending. Afterward, they served as the Director General before finally assuming the role of Executive Director - Procurement Efficiency. As an Executive Director, Ahmed leads three executive leaders across three departments, overseeing government tender operations and local market intelligence, among other responsibilities.

Ahmed Al-Harbi obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Industrial Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals, where they studied from 2008 to 2014. Ahmed then pursued further education, completing an Executive MBA in Business Administration and Management at IE Business School from 2023 to 2024.
