Rae Oglesby

Rae Oglesby is a storyteller with a passion for social justice, equity and service. She started her career as a broadcast news journalist, working for a decade at CNN and local stations in Atlanta and Charleston, South Carolina before transitioning to nonprofit marketing and communications. Prior to joining UpTogether (Previously Family Independence Initiative) in February 2020, she led marketing and communications at Mastery Schools where she led the network of 24 schools through a rebranding initiative, increased positive media hits by 22% and designed a student recruitment marketing strategy that fully enrolled a new school three months ahead of schedule. Under her leadership, Mastery’s communications team also won three Pennsylvania School PR Association (PenSPRA) Excellence in School Communications Awards. Rae has a B.S. in Broadcast Journalism from Florida A&M University and earned an MBA from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School.
