We are currently hiring a People and Culture Manager. The People and Culture Manager is responsible for managing the department’s initiatives, budgets, and workload. This position will ensure we have a fair and productive workplace where everyone works to realize our established company goals. This role reports directly to the Director of People and Culture.

Primary Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Director of People & Culture to enhance the organization’s objectives by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations, policies, programs, and best practices.
Manage job development, including developing job descriptions, conducting compensation analysis, and making salary and position recommendations.
Facilitate full cycle recruitment efforts with staff: recruitment strategies, role-based testing and evaluations, and interviewing; performing initial candidate screening; counselling managers on candidate selection.
Oversee and implement office procedures, policies, workplace communication, developing HR procedures to support department efficiency and company-wide HR acumen.
Act as a trusted advisor to management and staff on employee relations, providing guidance and resolution strategies for workplace issues; manages the progressive discipline process, including verbal and written warnings, up to and including terminations
Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions to ensure that policies, procedures, and reporting compliance. Seeking legal guidance when necessary.
Administer employee benefits, enrollments, updates, and terminations, ensuring precise and timely processing throughout the entire benefits cycle.
Oversee and manage the People & Culture team members, fostering their professional growth and creating a culture of trust and confidence, delegating tasks effectively.
Advise the Health and Safety Committee on HR-related compliance including Injury/Incident reporting, WSIB compliance, participating in monthly safety meetings and helping to educate and inform employees on safety topics and initiatives.
Support managers in planning, monitoring, and evaluating employee performance by training managers on effective coaching and disciplinary practices, while addressing and resolving employee grievances in a fair and timely manner.
Manage and administer employee feedback engagement through Lattice. This includes overall employee feedback, ensuring 1:1 meetings are occurring, ensuring Lattice ‘Grow’ is implemented for all staff, and utilizing this platform during performance reviews.
Manage and assist with our payroll and onboarding system through BambooHR.
Manage our Human Resources Information System (HRIS) records and ensure data accuracy.
Assist with planning and managing the People & Culture budget.
Actively participate in and promote workplace culture events, setting an example of enthusiasm and engagement and always modeling the company values.
How you fit into the team:
Report directly to the Director of People & Culture.
Pro-active partnership with all Directors and Leadership, spanning the employee lifecycle.
What you bring to the table:
Minimum 6 years’ experience in Human Resources
Minimum of 1 years’ experience as a people manager
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or Psychology
CPHR designation
Knowledge of employment law in professional services in both Canada and the USA
Empathetic understanding of employee concerns and a trusted advisor to leadership on navigating all levels of employee relations
Excellent communication skills and leadership aptitude
Outstanding organizations skills and meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
Experience in developing, facilitating and creating an equitable, diverse and inclusive work environment
Proven experience training managers and key stakeholders on HR programs, procedures and policies (performance management, compensation, feedback, etc.)
Experience in Lattice, BambooHR, Beneva, or similar software for HR administration
Must have a valid Passport
This role will travel throughout Canada and the USA from time to time
