Daniel Johnson

Daniel Johnson is the current Vice President of Administrative Services at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis. Daniel has over fifteen years of experience in leadership roles in security, law/justice, and homeland security.

Johnson began their career as a Director at Abraxas Applications, a software development company specializing in law enforcement and security applications. Daniel then served as the Executive Director of Homeland Security for the state of Minnesota. In this role, they were responsible for developing and implementing statewide homeland security strategies and initiatives.

In 2007, Johnson left government service to start their own company, Nexus Advantage, LLC. Nexus Advantage is a homeland security consulting firm that provides advice and guidance to government agencies and private organizations on homeland security issues.

In 2014, Johnson joined Treasure Island Resort & Casino as its Director of Security. In this role, they oversaw all aspects of security operations, emergency medical services, guest services, transportation, and valet for the resort. Treasure Island is the largest employer in Goodhue County and offers thousands of slots, table games, restaurants, retail establishments, a 800-room hotel, state-of-the-art event and conference center, 18,000 capacity amphitheater, marina, cruise ship, RV Park, and more.

Johnson has been with the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis since 2021. In their current role as Vice President of Administrative Services, they are responsible for the bank’s administrative functions, including human resources, facilities management, and information technology.

Daniel Johnson has a Master of Arts in Public Administration and Management from Hamline University, as well as a BA in Psychology, Criminology, and Sociology from the University of Minnesota Duluth. Daniel also has completed the FBI National Academy 211th session.
