Staff Product Owner, Core Engineering at Fiery

Paul Michel has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several decades. paul started their career at Societe d'Energie de la Baie James in 1977, where they worked as a Computing Center Programmer. paul was promoted due to the productivity gains their software enabled and eventually sold their laser instrumentation setup software to the Government of Sweden.

In 1981, Paul started their own company called Ordinateurs 2001, where they served as the President. With Xerox as their main customer, the company provided computer training, localized software and firmware, and even had some of their software selected by Xerox over their own solutions, generating additional revenue from royalties.

Paul joined Xerox Canada in 1981 as a Contractor at The Xerox Store. Over the years, they held various roles such as French Software Marketing Specialist, Product Nationalization Manager, Translation and Product Nationalization Manager, Color Application Consultant, and Color System Analyst. As a Color Application Consultant, they provided direct sales and sales support to the Xerox Canada sales force, which earned him multiple national recognitions.

In 1997, Paul joined Electronics for Imaging as a Color Analyst in the Core Engineering department. paul designed color features and wrote prototype software, and many of these features and products became part of the Fiery color servers.

Finally, in 2010, Paul Michel joined Fiery as a Staff Product Owner in the Core Engineering division, where they currently hold a leadership role.

Paul Michel earned a Diplôme d'études collégiales (DEC) in Sciences Pures et Appliquées from College-Notre-Dame-de-Foy, where they studied from 1974 to 1977. Following this, they pursued Computer Science at Université Laval starting in 1981. The end year for their studies at Université Laval was not provided.
