Chad Hoffman-Fragale has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Chad started their career as a Flight Attendant at United Airlines in 1998 and worked there for four years. Chad then transitioned to a role as an Administrative Organizer at 1199 SEIU from 2002 to 2006. Following this, Chad served as the Senior Director of Human Resources at Auburn Memorial Hospital from 2006 to 2008. Chad then joined Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centers as a Labor Relations professional until 2010.
In 2010, Chad joined Agfa Graphics as a Senior Human Resources Manager, responsible for plant operations in the US. Chad held this role for two years before moving to NYU Winthrop Hospital as an AVP of Human Resources from 2012 to 2016. During this time, Chad also taught as an Adjunct Professor of Business at Monroe College from 2016 to 2018.
In 2016, Chad became the Chief Human Resources Officer at National HealthCare Associates, a position they held until 2018. From 2018 to 2020, they served as the Chief People Officer at Juvo - Autism + Behavioral Health Services. Currently, Chad holds the position of Vice President Human Resources & Emergency Management at Finger Lakes Health, starting from July 2020.
Chad Hoffman-Fragale obtained their MBA degree in Business Administration from Excelsior University, where they studied from 2006 to 2010. Prior to that, they obtained a BA degree in Secondary Education - Spanish from the State University of New York at Oswego, attending from 1991 to 1995. Chad completed their high school education at Wantagh High School, where they obtained a Regents Diploma from 1988 to 1991.
In addition to their formal education, Chad has obtained several certifications. Chad became a Just Culture Certified Champion through Outcome Engenuity in October 2019. In June 2015, they obtained the SHRM-SCP certification from SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management). Chad also holds the Certified in Healthcare Human Resources (CHHR) certification from the American Hospital Association, which they obtained in May 2014. Furthermore, they became a Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) certified by the HR Certification Institute - HRCI in January 2012.
