Manar Ibrahim

Manar Ibrahim is a Fire Engineer at Fire and Emergency NZ since May 2022. Prior experience includes serving as a Tutor at the University of Canterbury, teaching Solid Mechanics, Environmental Engineering, and Fire Engineering from February 2020 to May 2022, and working as a Research Development Engineering Intern at Mainmark, focusing on seismic and liquefaction mapping in New Zealand for a short period in late 2020. Additionally, Manar held the position of Engineering Mentor at the University of Canterbury in 2019 and interned at Ashby Consulting Engineering in early 2019. Early experience includes working as a Maths Tutor and Student Ambassador at Ara Institute of Canterbury from May 2016 to November 2017. Manar's educational background comprises a Master of Engineering in Fire (2023-2025) and a Master of Engineering Studies in Fire Engineering (2021), along with a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Civil Engineering (2018-2020) and a New Zealand Diploma in Engineering (Civil) (2016-2017) from the University of Canterbury and Ara Institute of Canterbury.
