David Rooney

David Rooney has a extensive work experience in various business development and management roles. David started their career in 1996 at DHL Express, where they worked as a Network Planning Analyst, responsible for strategic development of the company's logistics network. David then moved on to Serco, where they served as a Contract Operations Manager, overseeing multiple NHS service part logistics contracts. In 2005, they joined Kuehne + Nagel Nederland as a Regional Market Manager, leading a team responsible for planning and routing freight movements. David then worked at National Express, first as a Network Development Manager, evaluating sales opportunities and developing long-term strategies for the UK coach network, and later as the Head of Business Development, leading commercial bid activity and securing profitable ground transportation contracts. David also served as the General Manager of Special Services, with P&L accountability for non-core passenger transportation services. David's most recent role is at FirstGroup plc, where they currently work as the Business Development Director for UK Bus, responsible for securing multi-million-pound ground transport contracts and driving performance on existing contracts. Throughout their career, David has consistently achieved business growth and delivered strong results.
