Derrik Cullison has extensive work experience in the field of video engineering and broadcast operations. Derrik is currently employed at Quickplay as a Sr. Principal Video Engineer since June 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Quickplay from 2011 to 2016 as a Video/Media Streaming Systems Architect. From 2016 to 2019, they were a Sr. Principal Systems Architect at AT&T, specializing in video solutions. Before that, Derrik worked as a Staff Broadcast Engineer at FLO TV Incorporated, a subsidiary of Qualcomm, from 2006 to 2011, where they played a key role in setting up network operations center and content processing infrastructure. Derrik also worked as a Broadcast Engineer at KFMB Stations from 1990 to 2006, where they designed and implemented state-of-the-art control rooms and custom devices. Derrik's earlier experience includes roles as a Customer Service Manager at Aurora Systems, a Broadcast Engineer at KPIX, a Software Engineer at Information Processing Systems, and a Broadcast Engineer at KGO-TV.

Derrik Cullison obtained an Associate of Science degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Technology from Napa Valley College, which they attended from 1976 to 1978. Derrik also holds a Commercial Pilot (CP) - ASEL, Instrument certification from the Federal Aviation Administration, which they obtained in September 2002. Additionally, they have an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS), achieved in June 2019.
