What’s happening?

Our Motion Department is a key component of our visual storytelling and we are looking for a talented Producer to help to lead, inspire and expand this critical team. 

We’re seeking an Animation/Video Producer who has energy and enthusiasm in abundance, who will want them to immerse themselves in a wealth of creative projects. We have two offices that collaborate closely together; our Surrey based design studio where you will be based, and our spectacular London headquarters in Bishopsgate, where you will occasionally visit to work with the strategic/accounts team and meet clients.

Who are we looking for?

The Animation/Video Producer will oversee the day-to-day operations of our Motion Department, managing a team of animators and video editors (both in-house and freelance). This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless execution of projects from concept to delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animation and video production, excellent leadership skills, and a strategic vision to grow and enhance the department’s capabilities and offerings. They will also work with the leadership team to build the department and grow the network of clients and suppliers.

What will you be doing?

Production/Project Management:

  • Project management of video and animation projects. Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding motion projects, ensuring clear communication and exceptional service
  • Present ideas, concepts, and final products to clients, incorporating feedback and making revisions as necessary
  • Foster strong relationships with existing clients and seek opportunities to attract new business
  • Oversee the motion production pipeline, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget
  • Coordinate with the production department to streamline processes and ensure efficient workflow
  • Storyboarding of projects
  • Maintain high standards of quality and creativity in all productions

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of animators and video editors, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment
  • Help recruit, onboard, and train new team members as needed
  • Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team and other senior leaders to align departmental goals with the company’s vision
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow the Motion Department’s capabilities and service offerings
  • Identify and explore new opportunities for creative and technical innovation

Budgeting and Resource Allocation:

  • Develop and manage the department’s budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently
  • Negotiate contracts with freelancers and vendors to optimise costs and resources
  • Monitor project expenses and financial performance, making adjustments as needed

Your experience & skills:

  • Ideally around 5 years’ experience in animation and video production, with some leadership skills/experience
  • Proven track record of managing creative teams and delivering high-quality projects
  • Strong understanding of animation and video production processes, techniques, and software for digital environments (e.g, After Effects, Premiere, Lottie, Rive)
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to think strategically and implement innovative solutions
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in developing new service offerings and expanding departmental capabilities
  • Knowledge of emerging trends and technologies in animation and video production
  • Previous experience in client-facing roles with a focus on customer satisfaction
