Norman B. Anderson, PhD, currently serves as Assistant Vice President for Research and Academic Affairs and a tenured Professor at Florida State University's College of Social Work, where efforts focus on advancing research missions and supporting academic leaders. Additionally, Dr. Anderson holds the position of President Elect with the Federation of Associations in the Behavioral and Brain Sciences and serves as Principal of Anderson Leadership Coaching and Consulting, LLC. As a Senior Consultant for the Arrendondo Advisory Group, Dr. Anderson promotes diversity and inclusion in organizational settings. Previous roles include Chief Executive Officer of the American Psychological Association and Founding Director of the Office of Behavioral and Social Sciences Research at the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Anderson's academic credentials include a PhD and MA in Clinical Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from North Carolina Central University, and a post-doctoral fellowship at Duke University.
