David Truog

David Truog is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in technology and design research, currently serving as VP, Principal Analyst at Forrester since June 2011. Truog's work focuses on emerging technologies such as generative AI, conversational AI, and the metaverse, alongside evolving digital tools for experience creation. Previous roles at Forrester include leading teams in customer and user experience research, shaping research content, and enhancing research quality and operations. Prior to Forrester, Truog founded Upland Productions, producing over 340 videos across various sectors, and held significant roles in early Internet commerce and software development companies. Truog holds a B.A. in Cognitive Science from Amherst College and an M.A. in History of Ideas from St. John's Graduate Institute.
