Mike Hoag

Chapter President at Foundation Fighting Blindness

Mike Hoag has a diverse work history, with experience in various roles and organizations. Mike worked as the Chapter President for the Foundation Fighting Blindness from 2015 onwards, where they led fundraising efforts and coordinated activities in Washington state. Hoag also served as a Board Member for the Shorepine Village Home Owners Association from 2014 to 2019. In addition, they were involved in a Capital Campaign as the Co-Chairman for St. Leo of Tacoma from 2010 to 2015, successfully raising over $2 million for a new church Social Hall. Prior to this, Hoag held positions at Weyerhaeuser, including a directorial role in Environment, Health, and Safety, and a managerial role in Manufacturing Support. Mike retired in 2023.

Mike Hoag completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Wood Science and Technology from Colorado State University in 1974. Mike further pursued their education at Oregon State University, where they earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Forest Products from 1984 to 1988.
