Alma Frontera Colón

Alma Frontera Colón has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Alma is currently serving as the Vice President of Operations and Programs at the Foundation for Puerto Rico since July 2021. Prior to this role, Alma worked as a Special Aide to the Secretary at the Departamento de Desarrollo Económico y Comercio from February 2021 to July 2021.

Alma also has experience in the NGO sector, where they served as the Director of Economic Development Programs at the Foundation for Puerto Rico from October 2017 to February 2020. In this role, they coordinated and executed numerous missions to aid individuals impacted by hurricanes Irma and Maria. Alma was responsible for logistics and managing more than $2M in aid distribution.

Before transitioning to the NGO sector, Alma worked as the Entertainment & Membership Director at El San Juan Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton from June 2016 to August 2017. During their time there, they played a key role in creating the Experience Department and overseeing various departments' coordination for events and talent bookings.

Additionally, Alma has experience in production management and consulting, working with companies such as TiX, ASTRA Studios, and People Television. Alma has organized events, including concerts and business events, for clients like Management & Millennials, Raphael, and VlogIn Fest.

Prior to these roles, Alma worked as the VIP and Guest Services Manager at Coliseo de Puerto Rico, where they managed a team providing high-end services to VIP clients and coordinating private events. Alma also had a brief stint in the Programming and Production Department at Univision Television Group.

Alma Frontera Colón began their education at Academia San José, where they completed their high school education from 2000 to 2004. Alma then pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication with a focus on Public Relations and Advertising at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras from 2004 to 2008.
