Ana Isabel Alduenda

Ana Isabel Alduenda is a Project Officer for Safety for Journalists at Free Press Unlimited, holding this position since August 2023. Previously, Ana served as a Project Assistant and Intern at the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) from July 2021 to July 2023. Ana Alduenda has also worked as a Researcher at the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) of Erasmus University Rotterdam, where a research project focused on local responses to COVID-19 in conflict-affected contexts, particularly in Chile. Additional experience includes consulting for Checchi and Company Consulting, Inc. on developing strategic plans for civil society organizations under a USAID program, coordinating projects on human rights and civic justice at Inteligencia Pública, conducting research on corruption risks for the Inter-American Development Bank, and analyzing foreign investment compliance at the Secretariat of Economy. Ana holds an MA in Development Studies from Erasmus University Rotterdam and a BSc in International Relations from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
