Dr. Tonya D. Moore

Dr. Tonya D. Moore has extensive work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Dr. Tonya D. currently works as a Subject Matter Expert and Content Creator at Freedom Learning Group. Prior to this, they served as a Co-Lead at Strategic Education, Inc., where they played a key role in starting the Veterans Employee Resource Group, educating and sharing information about military culture, and providing support and resources to connect the organization.

Dr. Moore also worked at KnowledgeCity, where they were a Blog Contributor and Script Writer. Dr. Tonya D. has contributed to blog content and created scripts for various purposes.

In their tenure at Strayer University, Dr. Moore held multiple positions, including Adjunct Professor, Academic Leader for Mixed Mode Learning, Co-Pillar for the President's Commission on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and Academic Dean for Insights and Operations and Academic Experience Team. Their responsibilities included overseeing on-campus classes, handling enrollment issues, and partnering with internal and external resources to support students. Dr. Tonya D. also served as a Campus Dean and an Associate Campus Dean/Professor during their time at Strayer University.

Dr. Moore was the Co-Owner and Chief Executive Officer of DEMO Consulting LLC, a boutique HR, training, and staffing consulting firm. Dr. Tonya D. successfully managed various projects for corporations and supervised a team of contractors.

Dr. Moore's work in the United States Army Reserve as a Major Retired involved being the Chief of Training and the Medical Plans Officer. Dr. Tonya D. provided guidance and directed training for soldiers worldwide.

Dr. Tonya D. was also involved in diversity and inclusion initiatives at Strategic Education, Inc., where they served as the Co-Chair of the CEO's Council on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. In this role, they planned and led inclusion initiatives, developed policies, and provided policy recommendations.

Furthermore, Dr. Moore has teaching experience as an Adult Graduate Studies Professor at Southern Wesleyan University and as an Adjunct Full Professor at Webster University. Dr. Tonya D. also held the position of Director of Instructional Management and Assessment Systems at Morris College.

Dr. Tonya D. Moore has an extensive education history. Dr. Tonya D. earned their Cheddar/Digital Entrepreneurship MBA from Strayer University from 2017 to 2020, specializing in the field of Digital Entrepreneurship. Prior to that, they obtained their Doctor of Business Administration in Management from Argosy University Sarasota between 1999 and 2006. From 1996 to 1997, they pursued their Master of Public Administration (MPA) with a concentration in Health Services Administration at Troy University. Dr. Moore also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, focusing on Computer Information Systems, which they earned from Saint Leo University from 1994 to 1996. Additionally, they completed an Associate in Marketing from Central Carolina Technical College from 1992 to 1994.

Aside from their formal education, Dr. Moore has obtained several certifications to enhance their knowledge and skills. Dr. Tonya D. received the "Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate" from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in May 2021. In February 2021, they obtained certifications in "Inclusive Instructional Design," "Managing a Diverse Team," "Out and Proud: Approaching LGBT Issues in the Workplace," and "Translating Your Military Skills to Civilian Workplace" from LinkedIn.
