VP Partnerships & Strategy at Freedom

Georgie Powell has worked in various roles in the technology, media, and telecoms (TMT) space since 2006. From 2006 to 2008, they were a Business Analyst at SPECTRUM STRATEGY CONSULTANTS LIMITED. Georgie then moved to The Engine Group as a Strategy Consultant in 2008. In 2010, they became an Engagement Manager at Venture Consulting, where they specialized in strategy consulting for media, telecoms, and technology companies. In 2012, they joined YouTube as a Strategic Partnership Manager YouTube/ Google, where they were responsible for growing YouTube's Content business in Australia & New Zealand. From 2016 to 2021, they were the CEO & Co-founder of Phone Life Balance Ltd, where they supported research institutions interested in phone addiction, phone/life balance, and the relationship between humans and technology. Since 2018, they have been a Digital Wellbeing & Responsible Technology Consultant at Sentient Digital Consulting. Most recently, they joined Freedom in 2021 as the VP Partnerships & Strategy, responsible for the development of corporate strategy plans & initiatives and overseeing Freedom's partnership operations. Georgie is also the host of the Freedom Matters podcast, which explores the intersection of technology, productivity, and digital wellbeing.

Georgie Powell attended the University of Oxford from 2008 to 2010, where they earned an Mphil in Development Studies. Georgie then attended the University of Cambridge, where they earned an MA in Geography with a 1st Class degree.
