Carmine Paolino

Carmine Paolino has a wealth of work experience. Carmine is currently Co-Founder and CTO at Freshflow, a company that is reimagining the food supply chain starting with grocery retailers. Carmine was previously a Founder in Residence at Entrepreneur First, a programme backed by Reid Hoffman, the founders of DeepMind and PayPal, and some of the top investors in the world. Carmine was also a Technical Mentor at The Alan Turing Institute. Prior to that, they were a Senior Data Scientist and Senior Data Scientist at OLX Group, where they spoke at GHOSTDay: Applied Machine Learning Conference 2019 and interviewed candidates for data scientist positions. Carmine also wrote patches to MXNet Model Server to export Prometheus metrics. Before that, they were a Senior Data Scientist and Big Data Engineer at Capgemini, where they led a team to improve performance of top-level athletes through clever use of data. Carmine was also a Data Scientist and Software Engineer at Owlin, where they developed a topic clustering algorithm, data visualizations, a bayesian spam-filter, and various other software projects. Carmine was also a System Administrator for the Italian Community at Gentoo Linux, and a Web Developer (Intern) at Studio di Ingegneria Solare.

Carmine Paolino has a Master's Degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam). Carmine also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna.
