Kazi Maisha is currently serving as a Global Health Advocacy Fellow at the Fund for Global Health, focusing on advocacy and interdisciplinary work to enhance the accessibility of the medical system. Previous experience includes roles as a Team Clinical Assistant at Hospice Of New York and a bilingual crisis counselor with Crisis Text Line, where Kazi provided support for individuals in crisis. Kazi has worked as an Emergency Medical Technician with DocGo, aided underserved populations, and held various instructional positions at The City College of New York, including genetics recitation adjunct and STEM Connector Network and Opportunities Lead. Research experiences span several prestigious institutions, including NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and NYU Langone Health, with a focus on health equity and the impact of language barriers in healthcare. Kazi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a minor in Psychology from The City College of New York and is pursuing a Doctor of Medicine degree at Joan & Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University.
