Michael Kirby

Michael Kirby has over a decade of experience in the technology industry, with a focus on engineering and software development. Michael began their career at Pillar Data Systems in 2007, where they served as a Software Engineer for three years. In 2010, Michael joined Hewlett Packard Enterprise as a Systems Software Engineer V. Michael then moved on to Oracle in 2012, where they held various roles including Principal Software Engineer and Senior Principal Engineer, specializing in Flash Storage and OCI Object Storage. In 2020, they joined Liqid Inc. as the Director of Software Engineering. Currently, Michael is working at Fungible, Inc., starting as an Engineering Manager in 2021 and progressing to Senior Engineering Manager before assuming their current position as Engineering Director in October 2022.

Michael Kirby has a strong education background in computer science. Michael earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Colorado Boulder, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. Later, they pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the same university, attending from 2008 to 2012.
