Loreto Parga Vidal, PhD, has an extensive work experience in the field of immunology and medical research. Starting in 2013, they worked as a Research Intern at the Biomedical Research Institute (INIBIC) for two months. In 2015, they joined the Radboud Institute for Molecular Life Sciences (RIMLS) as a Research Intern in Experimental Rheumatology, where they studied the role of IL-22 on joint pathology and investigated the activation and differentiation of Th17 cells. Loreto then moved to Radboudumc as a Research Intern in Laboratory Hematology in 2015. In 2016, they worked as a Research Intern in Translational Immunology at KU Leuven and VIB.

In 2017, Loreto started working at Sanquin as a PhD researcher in the Department of Adaptive Immunity. Their research focused on the differentiation, maintenance, and recall capacity of tissue-resident memory CD8 T cells following infection. Their expertise lies in multi-color flow cytometry, T cell immunology, immunofluorescence, cellular assays, RNA-seq, and large data analysis. Loreto has also developed skills in oral communication through national and international presentations and has contributed to scientific writing with research articles, reviews, and travel grant applications.

In 2021, Loreto joined Hubrecht Organoid Technology as a Scientist in the Department of Inflammatory and Genetic Diseases. Their expertise in project leading, organoid-based assays, and mentoring research associates was instrumental in the development of the organization. In 2022, they started working as a Scientist in Preclinical Development - Pharmacology at Gadeta.

Loreto Parga Vidal, PhD, has a strong educational background in the field of immunology. Loreto obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from the University of Amsterdam in 2021, specializing in Immunology. Prior to their PhD, Loreto pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Biomedical Sciences at Radboud University from 2014 to 2016. Their undergraduate education includes a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biotechnology from the Universidad de Salamanca, which they completed from 2010 to 2014.

In addition to their academic degrees, Loreto has also acquired several certifications to enhance their expertise. These certifications include training in Experiments on Animal Act (Article 9) from Radboud University Nijmegen and Radiation Safety level 5b, also from Radboud University Nijmegen. Loreto has also obtained the NT2 halfgevorderden 2 certification, which signifies their proficiency in the Dutch language (B1 level), from UvA Talen.
