Mateus Neves Barreto

Mateus Neves Barreto has extensive experience in both academia and the startup world. In 2013, they started working at the Universidade Estadual de Campinas as a Ph.D student in the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering until January 2017. During this time, they focused on their research and academic pursuits. In 2017, they co-founded Gaivota, where they held the role of CTO. Mateus'scontributions to the company are ongoing, as no end date has been specified.

Mateus Neves Barreto completed their education in a chronological order. Mateus obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Universidade Federal de Alfenas between 2008 and 2011. Mateus then pursued a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Universidade Estadual de Campinas from 2012 to 2014.

Following this, Mateus Neves Barreto embarked on a research-focused journey and earned a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Universidade Estadual de Campinas from 2013 to 2017. During their studies, they also took the opportunity to expand their knowledge in the field of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Stanford University, where they completed a Visiting Scholar program from 2015 to 2016.

In addition to their degrees, Mateus Neves Barreto received a certification in Machine Learning from the Coursera Course Certificates program in May 2016.
