Daniel J. Taverne

Daniel J. Taverne has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Daniel J. is currently working at Galen Mental Health as the Chief New Program Development Officer, a role they assumed in October 2023. Prior to this, they worked at HCA Florida North Florida Hospital as the Director of Safety and Security from January 2021 to December 2022.

From 2016 to 2021, Daniel worked at AdventHealth as the Director of Security. During their tenure, they made significant contributions such as rebranding the security team, implementing new security measures, and participating in various accreditation surveys.

Before joining AdventHealth, from 2013 to 2016, Daniel held the position of Manager, Security & Emergency Management at Overlake Hospital. Daniel J. was responsible for all security program functions and successfully developed and implemented security standards for the medical center and its off-site clinics.

Prior to their career in the healthcare industry, Daniel worked as a School Administrator at Mason County Christian School from July 2012 to June 2013. Daniel J.'sresponsibilities included leading the faculty and assisting the board in strategic planning and financial analysis.

From 2010 to 2012, Daniel served as the Security Manager at John C. Lincoln Health Network, where they oversaw security operations at two hospitals and made contributions in suicide prevention.

Daniel also has prior experience as a Secondary School Teacher at New Albion Academy of the Liberal Arts from June 2006 to June 2009 and at Providence Classical Christian School from September 2001 to June 2006.

Daniel J. Taverne holds a Master's Degree in International Security & Intelligence Studies from Bellevue University, which they obtained from 2011 to 2013. Daniel J. also has a Bachelor of Science Degree in World Security and Strategic Studies from Bellevue University, achieved from 2008 to 2010. Additionally, they obtained a Certificate in Security Administration from City University of Seattle in 1997. In terms of certifications, they have completed various courses including a Certificate in Cybersecurity: Managing Risk in the Information Age from Harvard University in 2018. Daniel J. has obtained certifications in several areas such as workplace violence prevention, handcuffing tactics, and personal protection.
