Roger Sawhney

Roger Sawhney has extensive experience in the healthcare industry. Roger began their career in 1996 as a Partner and Managing Director at the Boston Consulting Group, where they led strategy consulting engagements in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries. In 2009, they moved to Novartis as SVP, Global Head of Corporate Strategy, where they were responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing Group strategies, including business area growth, diversification, corporate and business development activities, and operational excellence. In 2012, they joined Bain & Company as a Partner in the Healthcare and Private Equity practices. In 2017, they became SVP, Strategy and Business Development at Outcome Health, where they launched multiple new business lines and managed and negotiated digital health partnerships. In 2018, they were appointed Director on the Health Care investment team at KKR & Co, Inc. and a Member Board of Directors at Arcellx, Inc. and Ebb Therapeutics. In 2019, they joined Omega Therapeutics as Chief Business Officer and Chief Financial Officer, where they led capital raises of over $350M and managed and consummated numerous BD deals and partnerships. Roger is currently the Chief Financial Officer at Garuda Therapeutics, a position they have held since 2022.

Roger Sawhney obtained their M.D. from Harvard Medical School between 1991 and 1995. Roger also obtained a BA in Economics with Distinction from Stanford University between 1987 and 1991. Additionally, they obtained an MD certification from the New York State Department of Health in September of 1996.
